Our challenge is to have everyone write a piece of flash fiction (no more than 1,000 words) in which three or more of the following elements appear:
• someone who tries to hide the fact that they're smoking by holding their hand, with a lit cigarette in it, behind their back
• an unusual verbed noun, i.e. "He nouned that verb so fast he left its past participle dangling like a pair of shoes thrown over a telephone wire."
• a pair of shoes, knotted together and thrown over a telephone wire
• an unusual means of transportation
• the word borborygmia
• a three legged dog
• bourbon
